Proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom

"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." — Matthew 28:19–20

Welcome to the Church of God International Jamaica

The Church of God International (CGI) traces its origins to the Church that Jesus founded in the early first century. Membership consists of "called out ones" from around the world practicing Christianity as initiated by Jesus and furthered by the early apostles.

The church begun by Jesus, the very one He promised would survive through the centuries, is alive and well. Today, disciples live the faith "once delivered to the saints" in this twenty-first century. Members value the witness and teachings of Jesus Christ as the church's work.

We're glad you're here and want to invite you into our fellowship.

Feast of
Tabernacles

2026
Why The World Needs God's Kingdom

"You shall dwell in booths for seven days... so that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt." — Leviticus 23:42–43

A Divine Appointment

The Feast of Tabernacles is a Sacred Appointment With God

The Feast of Tabernacles is one of God's sacred appointments - a seven-day portrait of the Millennium, when Christ will reign on earth and nations will dwell in peace. We keep it now, in faith, as a foretaste of that golden age.

Each year in the seventh month, God's people set aside ordinary life for seven days to keep a festival He commanded to Israel long ago (Leviticus 23:34–43). Israel was told to dwell in temporary shelters, or booths, throughout the feast — a yearly reminder of the years their ancestors spent journeying through the wilderness after leaving Egypt, entirely dependent on God's provision and protection.

That same picture speaks to us today. The apostle Paul described our physical bodies as an earthly tent, a temporary "tabernacle" we live in only for a time, while we look toward a lasting home not made by human hands (2 Corinthians 5:1–9). In this sense, the Feast of Tabernacles points beyond our present, passing existence to something far greater: the Millennium, the thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ described in Revelation 20, when Satan's deceptive influence will be removed and the nations of the earth will finally live under God's righteous government.

Scripture tells us that one day, all nations will keep this feast (Zechariah 14:16). Until then, we keep it now, by faith, gathering together to worship, learn, and rejoice as a foretaste of the world to come — the same hope that brings God's people from across Jamaica and beyond to Runaway Bay each year.
